Corey Patterson

Is there a media member in the Cincinnati area brave enough to challenge Baker on the Corey Patterson issue? If Hopper stays in Louisville after his rehab and Patterson is not gone, I will not be traveling the 2 hours back to Cincinnati.

Moronic Dusty Baker Quote

Baker said he thought about starting Paul Janish at short and Jerry Hairston Jr. in center.

"Yeah, I thought about it," Baker said. "I mean but Corey gives me the speed I need He gives me the same thing I needed before -- speed, defense and this little ballpark here he can hit the ball out the ball park."

Speed doesn't do any good when Patterson is sitting in Dusty's lap after another out. Janish is better at SS than Hairston, Hairston is better in CF than Patterson. Patterson's slugging percentage is .342, he hasn't hit a home run since April 9. Patterson's slash stats after tonights game: .195/.234/.342.

Corey Patterson is back....Dusty is a buffoon

Not only has Ryan Freel's hamstring brought Corey Patterson back into my life, but Dusty "buffoon" Baker feels it necessary to bat him in the 2 hole because he is fast. What good is speed if he is sitting in your lap in the dugout after making yet another out? You could at least give Janish a chance at short, we all know Patterson isn't in the Red's future, play the young guy.

Corey Patterson gone!

Corey Patterson has been sent to AAA Louisville and Andy Phillips has been called up to replace him. Thank goodness someone in Cincinnati has a brain and finally realizes that Dusty's man-love for Patterson was not going to end until he was gone from the dugout.
